About A Good Night for a Murder

A VICTORIAN TRUE CRIME PODCAST

Stand next to your window on a particularly dark night—a rainy night or night when there’s no moonlight. Now imagine gas lamp lit streets and fog settling in.

That is a good night for a murder.

A Good Night for a Murder is a podcast that covers true crime of the Victorian era from all over the world.

New episodes are released every month and cover notorious cases like Jack the Ripper and Lizzie Borden, to lesser known, but equally fascinating cases like chocolate cream poisoner Christiana Edmunds, missing socialite Dorothy Arnold, spirit photographer/scam artist William Mumler, and so many more.

About Your Host

My name is Kim, the creator and host of A Good Night For a Murder.

A Good Night For a Murder is entirely produced, researched, recorded, and edited by me in the hours I have left after working a full time day job as a website manager, plus mom-ing an amazing kiddo.

I want to thank my mom for shaping me in to the spooky, true crime lover that I am today by never failing to remind me where horrendous crimes took place, (“That’s where John List murdered his whole family!”) and glancing out the window on a stormy night and casually remarking, “It’s a good night for a murder out there.” Thank you Patty!

You can follow me on Instagram and TikTok (especially if you’re in to spooky things and plant care).
